Group Managing Editor
Joseph Odindo was born in a small village in North West Ugenya in Kenya. His father, who was named Dominic Odindo Adiala encouraged his studies and watched proudly as his son pursued his education and his interest in journalism.
Following a number of positions, as reporter and television critic, Mr. Odindo rose to the post of Group Managing Editor of NMG. In this position, Odindo wields considerable influence and presides over the largest stable of newspapers in the region notably the Daily Nation, Sunday Nation, East African and Business Daily.
The Daily Nation is Kenya's leading newspaper and is a division of Nation Media Group (NMG) Limited.
NMG, founded by His Highness the Aga Khan in 1959, has become the largest independent media house in East and Central Africa. It has been quoted on the Nairobi Stock Exchange since the early 1970s.
In his current position, Joseph Odindo is a group managing editor the leading multi-media house in the East African region, it has print as well as electronic media and the digital platforms.
